Period of Foundation

1937: Fuji Tekko Co., Ltd. founded by Ichiro Suzuki in Nagoya City.

1944: Moved to Washizu (currently Kosai City) and started production of aircraft parts.

1949: Introduced high-frequency quenching methods to metal parts through technical partnership with Shizuoka University.
Started deliveries to Nissan Motor Co., Ltd.

SUZUKI IRON WORKS ⇒I.S. PRECISION MACHINERY

		1960	Company established as Suzuki Iron Works Co. Ltd. in Washizu, Kosai City. Started deliveries to Suzuki Motor Corp.
		1962	Moved to Kozawatari, Hamamatsu City. Company begins deliveries of truck parts.
1963	Shares listed on Tokyo Stock Exchange, Section 2.
1968	Dedicated machine tooling plant built in Komi, Kosai City.
1970	Machine tooling of transmissions and transfer parts for medium-sized trucks begins.
1972	Started assembly of transmission for medium-sized trucks.
		1973	Company begins doing business in agricultural machinery parts.
		1977	Company begins deliveries of constant velocity universal joints.
1979	Started production of transfers units for recreational vehicles.
1981	Production of reduction gears for 10-ton mixers begins.
1983	TQC program introduced.	1983	Washizu Plant established.
		1984	Company merges with Kozawatari Mfg. Co.
1985	Production of power shift transmissions for large-sized trucks begins.
1986	Received Nissan Quality Control（NQC）Prize.	1986	Changed company name to I.S. PRECISION MACHINERY INC.
1988	Received Deming Application Prize.
1989	TPM introduced.
1990	Received Q-1 Prize from Ford Motor Co. Production of transmissions for compact trucks begins.
1991	Changed company name to FUJI UNIVANCE CORPORATION. Started sales of AXCs（Hydraulic Torque Splitter）.
1992	Started sales of overrunning clutches for AT.
1993	Received PM Prize.
1995	UNIVANCE INC. established in the US. Started sales of SURETRAC (limited slip differential).
1996	PT. UNIVANCE INDONESIA established. Received Supplier Quality Assurance Recognition Award from Case Corp.（currently CNH America LLC） Certified ISO 9001.
1997	Received TPM Prize.
		1999	Received TPM Prize.
		2001	ISO9001 certification obtained.
2002	QS-9000 certification obtained.	2002	ISO14001 certification obtained.
