Technical Fields

Product Development and Design: Propose plans for designing and improving transmission, transfer and auto parts; develop and design actual products. Propose and promote strategies to develop and design products, both internally and for customer-commissioned projects. Also involved in improvement and kaizen activities for product reliability and performance.

Testing: Verify design quality, and conduct various experiments to confirm design appropriateness.

Production Engineering: Design optimally cost-effective process sequences and quote costs for requested products, investigate process designs and manufacturing capacity, participate in the research, development, and introduction of new process technologies.

Manufacturing Machinery Design: Review orders and quote for machinery, jigs, tools, dies, and inspection tools needed for production, as well as develop and design tooling for machining.

Quality Assurance and Inspection: Maintain and control the quality assurance programs for all parts and materials in the company, and make improvements when abnormalities are found. Also, support and facilitate Quality Assurance Improvement Activities for the entire company.

Tooling and Maintenance: Determine the specifications of the plant's consumable items, cutting tools, and indirect materials used for consumable tools; and then arrange for purchasing. Additionally, analyze equipment and jig malfunctions, checks, and repairs; and then enact countermeasures to prevent reoccurrence of issues.

Technology and Process Development: Survey and research advanced technologies and consider their applications to our products. Also, acquire and control industrial property.

Industrial Engineering (IE): Participate in production system planning from proposal to implementation; participate in activities to sustain and improve productivity.

Sales and Marketing: Work with existing customers on expanding sales, setting specs and standards, and determining delivery dates while also soliciting new clients and researching their needs.

Purchasing: Oversee suppliers selection and then propose and enact ordering plans; work with suppliers to achieve cost reductions; support and train on quality assurance and streamlining production.

Cost Planning: Plan and promote costing of new products. Also oversee the progress of value analyses (VA: an analysis to lower cost without diminishing product quality).

Clerical Fields

Business Planning: Propose company business plans and strategies for the entire Univance group, and monitor progress towards set profit targets.

Finance and Accounting: Develop financial plans, and then collect and analyze relevant financial information; oversee accounting processes, such as profits and expenses, and oversee the calculation and control of costing by department and product. Also, report on quarterly closings for parent company and for overseas branches.

Human Resources: Oversee the planning and facilitation of hiring, work area assignment, transfers, and development for employees. Also, develop and direct initiatives for human resources and labor management.

General Affairs: Oversee the operations and general affairs of company events and activities with outside organizations; oversee the important tasks of controlling company assets and company documents.

Information Systems: Plan, develop, and improve information systems; maintain, control, and operate existing information systems; investigate the introduction of new systems.

Production Control: Propose and plan production systems; establish a production plan, oversee progress, and adjust the delivery schedule; establish and execute logistics plans and work on advancing productivity-improvement activities.

Sales and Marketing: Plan and promote sales and marketing strategies; work with existing customers on expanding sales, setting specs and standards, and determining delivery dates while also soliciting new clients and researching their needs.

Purchasing: Oversee supplier selection and then propose and enact ordering plans; work with supplier to achieve cost reductions; support and train on quality assurance and streamlining production.

Cost Planning: Plan and promote new product costing. Also responsible for value analyses (VA: an analysis to lower costs without altering product quality)
